  3. When can I bring in items for consignment?

  5. How long will you try to sell my consignment items and how do the markdowns work?
  6. We will keep your items at full price for 45 to 60 days. After that they will be reduced to  half price. If they don't sell within two weeks when at half price, we will donated to a quality charity.  You may also pick up your items during this time. Please see out policy for more detail.

  7. How much money will I make from my consignment and how do I get paid?
  8. As a consignor, you are our partner. We work hard to give our consigning partners the very best price and quickest sale possible. We have many years of experience in doing that.
We want us both to make as much money as possible. It is in our best interest to price items for the maximal return in the shortest time. We also need to pay close attention to market factors. We don't want your items to go unsold due to unrealistic pricing. Prices are set by Cotton Kloset. We are not responsible for notifying a consignor that they have money available to them. Consignors are responsible for inquiring about and collecting there earnings from Cotton Kloset.  Checks are not available before the 5th of the month for your previous month’s sales. We will hold your check here at the store for up to six months. We do not mail checks. Consignment earnings not retrieved  within 6 months of the original date of consignment will be forfeited.

  9. What may be donated?
  10. Any clothing item that Cotton Kloset determines is unlikely to sell, based on our many years of past experience and high standards for selection, will be donated to very worthy charities and community service organizations. If you wish, you may have the items returned to you if you make that clear to us at the time you drop your items off. At the end of the sales period, we donate most remaining items that did not sell during that period. For an exception of unusual quality, we could retain the item for sale at a future sales season. However, this does not occur often.
