Prices are set by Cotton Kloset. We work hard to give our consigning partners the very best balance between price and quickest sale possible. We have many years of experience doing this. We want both you and the store to make as much money as possible. It is in our best interest to price items for the maximum return in the shortest time. We also need to pay close attention to market factors. We don't want your items to go unsold due to unrealistic pricing.
Consignors will receive 50% of the actual sale price. You are responsible for inquiring about and collecting your earnings from Cotton Kloset. Your earnings will be paid by check or you may use your earnings as credit toward your purchases in Cotton Kloset. Checks are available on the 5th of each month for your previous month’s sales. We will hold your checks here at the store for up to six months. Consignment earnings not retrieved within 6 months of the original date of consignment will be forfeited. If your cumulative earnings since the last payout are less than $10, no check will be issued. We do not mail checks except to our out-of-state consignors.
Any clothing item that Cotton Kloset determines is unlikely to sell, based on our many years of experience and high standards, will be donated to worthy charities and community service organizations. However, if you wish, you may have the items that we do not accept returned to you, if you make that clear to us at the time you drop your items off. At the end of the half price sales period, we donate remaining items that did not sell to a quality charity of our choice. WE NEVER KEEP OR RESALE ITEMS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE STORE OR OUR EMPLOYEES. If an item is not sold and you do not pick it up during or before the end of the half price period, it will be donated to a worthy charity, and you may request a donation receipt for items so donated.
We are not responsible for theft, damage, or loss of consigned property (please see the Policy page). You agree to consign with Cotton Kloset at your own risk. We are sorry, but sometimes theft and other events happen that are out of our control. We do our very best to protect everything in the store, but sometimes we are unable to prevent loss.
